- Conducts the annual Superior Court Judgeship Study, staffs the Judicial Council Workload Assessment Committee, compiles caseload data for superior, state, juvenile, probate, magistrate and municipal courts;
- Provides administrative support to Council of State Court Judges, Council of Probate Court Judges, Council of Magistrate Court Judges, Council of Municipal Court Judges and their training councils; facilitates meeting planning, publication of council newsletters; staffing committees, etc.
- Provides information and education regarding the Georgia Courts through agency publications: the Georgia Courts Journal, Georgia Courts Directory, Your Guide to the Georgia Courts, Annual Report on the Work of the Courts;
- Provides statewide information technology assistance to judges councils; maintains listervs, webpages for each council and for the judicial branch;
- Coordinates the annual judicial branch appropriations request to the General Assembly; provides fiscal support to other judicial branch agencies;
- Oversees and manages the Board of Court Reporting, Commission on Interpreters, County and Municipal Probation Advisory Council; provides administrative support to the Committee on Access and Fairness in the Courts , Committee on Civil Justice and the Supreme Court Jury Composition Committee; administers funds appropriated to the Judicial Council Committee on Domestic Violence;
- Secures and manages grant funding for drug courts, DUI courts and other special initiatives; provides administrative support for child support guidelines reform and collection; juvenile justice issues and others.
- Maintains a strong presence at the Georgia General Assembly through outreach in Governmental Affairs and keeps constituents informed of the latest events through the legislative website.
