|Judicial Council to meet in Atlanta|

Atlanta, GA — The Judicial Council, chaired by Chief Justice Hugh P. Thompson, will meet at the Carter Center in Atlanta on February 18, 2014, to discuss a variety of proposals and reports.
Members will vote on measures to support legislation, policy recommendations regarding the Court Reporting Fees and Processes, and approval of training curricula for magistrate and municipal courts.
The Judicial Council will hear reports from the Accountability Court Committee, Strategic Plan Implementation Committee, Judicial Workload Assessment Committee, Budget Committee, and the Council of Magistrate Court Judges Access to Courts Project. Reports from the appellate courts and trial court councils will also be delivered.
The 26-member Judicial Council of Georgia meets several times a year to act on policy and administrative matters of the judiciary. Judges of the appellate and trial courts at all levels are represented on the Council. For the agenda and meeting materials, please click here.
